Through the miracle of biochemistry, men are beginning to produce the amazing recycle oil waste beyond our wildest imagination. Recycling oil waste is an effective way of conserving, reducing waste disposal and cutting costs.
Oil is a dwindling resource! As a source of energy we must know how to recycle and conserve it like any other raw materials. Oil can be depleted, if we continue to use them up at present rates, oil like petroleum or diesel etc. are likely to run out quite early in the next
millennium! Reserves of oil have an estimated lifetime of only 30 years. Hence, conservation of recycled oil is one way of avoiding wastage because it increases the lifetime of running out oil.
The type of waste from recycled oil is lubricating oil, crude oil and other hydrocarbon base fluids. They are produced by oil recovery system. light oil is pumped out to fuel the furnace while distilled water is discharged to water the treatment. The heavy oil is dehydrated and used as industrial fuel.
This exploration is a bit exciting! Even when refrigerated air is pumped in, oil miners are often bathed in sweat. Nobody knows exactly how much oil is left down there. The waste oil is processed in the batch flash drum at the wasted oil Treatment unit. From here it is pumped through the furnace coils and gets heated. The bunker type oil left in the batch drum is a high energy heating fuel as the main products in the wastewater can be treated by microorganisms which feed on them and can used as fertilizers.
It seems the perfect fantasy; recycled waste oil as furnace and industrial fuels as fertilizers, as well as road surfaced like asphalt and other reusable products. Within months, the story goes, the mind was producing tremendous energy and recycled materials. But the problem may arise on the accidental oil spills from the
oil-waste-water treatment plant, which may reach the river or the nearby bodies of water. Potential contaminants such as PCB, chlorine or other hazardous waste oil contaminants reaching the water. This will affect and damage all aquatic life and may contaminate our drinking water. Oil and coals contain small amount of
sulfur causes acid rain. A major effect of oil spill is the mass killing of waterfowls. long term effect may be equally devastating.
The technology for a new era in recycled oil already exists. The problem now is building a market large enough to justify the long production runs that
will make recycled oil waste more economical. If consumers are ready to make the leap, it seems certain that in the next
millennium, some energy will finally emerge from the century- old technology of petroleum or crude oil. Within the next decade, recycled energy may even catch up with the space age. When things happen that you least expect you have two choices: you get bitter or better. Remember the golden rule: He who owns the oil makes the rule. Not all the glitter is gold. IT'S OIL!
